28 days in and 30 pounds down!!
Let me remind you all that I set a goal on October 1st to lose 150 pounds by the end of the year. At the time I knew this was going to be very hard to achieve, and realistically if I hit 100 I would be very happy with that as well. All that being said I’m not unhappy with losing 30 pounds so far this month. When the year began I was pushing the 650 pound mark, so for the year that makes it a 72 pound loss!!
I’m so thrilled in the direction I am going now in my life. I’m finally doing this, and doing it on my own accord. I’m picking the direction things are going, because I’m figuring out it is okay to be me, not influenced by what others want me to be. I’m more motivated, focused, and stronger than I’ve ever been!! Sure when I was doing yoga things seemed to be going the right direction as well, but secretly inside I was a mess. Maybe one day I will go further into that, but that day isn’t today. I’ve moved on from that chapter in my life, and don’t even know if it’s worth speaking on it again.
We also did measurements yesterday, and I lost 1.5″ in my neck and almost 2″ in my waist!! Whoohoo My chest and both biceps went up around 1″ each, so that means I’m making gainz!! Haha
On Tuesday I’m going to have a resting metabolic rate test done as well as a nutritional consult with the gym I’m at. I’m going to try to do a video on it, hopefully the lady doing the test and consult isn’t camera shy 🙂 I didn’t do a video this past Wednesday because I just didn’t feel like worrying with it. I also made a video Monday, but didn’t blog about it. Here is the link to that CLICK HERE.
Now on to the workout. Let me start by saying this was the fist week I did M-F in the gym at least 1 hour a day. Thursday wasn’t even planned, so I just went on my own and lifted pretty heavy for reps as well. Fridays workout was only a few thing as I was burning the candle from the week. We did a incline bench press pyramid type set, as the weight went up the reps went down, the last set was 4 @ 185, most I’ve ever tried, and Tyler had to help a lot with it. I was done!! Then we did the sled. Tyler wanted to do 8 plates x45 pounds, but that wasn’t enough for me so I added 2@45 and 1@35. This was a PR(personal record) for me. On the first set of 4 another trainer decided to jump on halfway back adding another 180 for a total of 665 pounds, not including the 45 pound sled weight. If you want to see that make sure you watch the video.
Another week in the books, and I’m one more week closer to my goals!! No more looking back in a year wondering “what if?” because I don’t have time for that. If I don’t do it now I will certainly die!
